WE NEVER CLAIMED TO BE IN PARTNERSHIP WITH SANWO-OLU

The attention of the South-Westshire Health Trust and our Chief Executive Officer Rt. Hon Onamusi Onadeko, a former Member of the House of Representatives has been drawn to the press release by the First Lady and wife of the Executive Governor of Lagos State Dr (Mrs) Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu disclaiming a Brochure we attached to our reminder letter dated 8th of October, 2019.

For the avoidance, doubt and clarification we wish to state as follows:

1. The Brochure was a computer print-out detailing the proposed Vagrant Free Society project. The Brochure was sent to the office of the First Lady requesting that she vet the proposed project and for her consideration and approval following our visit.

2. The said Brochure was NEVER on social media as we await her response and approval. It was never in public domain,

3. The South-Westshire Health Trust or Rt. Hon Onamusi Onadeko NEVER discussed the project with any individual or Organization neither did we seek for financial assistance from the public in respect of this project or any other in the name of any State or organization. We would appreciate if those who advised against this project that is well intended to remove mentally challenged people away from the streets to please let Nigerians know the individuals or organizations we approached on the claim that we are in partnership with Lagos State Government or any other State.

4. We have never claimed to be in partnership with the Office of the Wife of the Executive Governor of Lagos State or any State as we await her response. The publication was very unfortunate; she was ill-advised by those we regard as “Evil Servants”.

5. Permit me to say there are over 65 inpatients at the South-Westshire Health Trust today. Most of these are people we removed from the streets who are currently undergoing treatment and rehabilitation at our facility located at Km57 Sagamu Benin Expressway, Itele, Ijebu-East Local Government of Ogun State. It is important to state we have NEVER sought or received any grant from any State Government or Organization for all we are doing to improve our society and it is very painful for anyone to have discredited our organization in this manner. You may wish to visit our Facebook page for more information https://www.facebook.com/South-Westshire-Health-Trust-1597437203643071

6. The courtesy visit to the office of the First Lady was a rare privilege which we appreciate. The post we made on Instagram was a picture of our visit not the Brochure and we NEVER claimed her office was is in partnership with our Trust on Instagram. However, we have removed the said post immediately we received her letter.

7. We appreciate the concern of the First Lady for the wellbeing of mentally challenged persons and her desire to ensure we have the necessary facilities for the treatment and rehabilitation those we intend to remove from the streets. We are confident that her representative who visited the Trust can confirm that construction works are at completion stage to accommodate those we intend removing from the Streets. The entire projects to-date are solely funded by Rt. Hon. Onamusi Onadeko, we have NEVER sought or received financial assistance from any Government or organization.

Finally, we wish to state unequivocally that as a Trust our integrity and commitment to the wellbeing of people with mental challenges are passion we cannot compromise. We would continue to do our best in this regard with the view to making this country a better place.

The South-Westshire Health Trust was established in 2017, we NEVER took any action that will embarrass or take advantage of the office of the First Lady. We find the publication damaging to this organization and will appreciate if the First Lady can please investigate our claims herein and where necessary take steps at redeeming our image.
Thank you.
Yours truly

It’s quite unfortunate that some people can go to any length just to damage people”s image and integrity just to get at them. God will put those behind it to shame by the special Grace of God.

  2. Oginyomi Tajudeen says:

Such is the bane of our society, the pull down syndrome rare its head in all facet. Pls don’t be deterred, neither should you allow it to affect your willingness to serve humanity.
Continue with the spirit, you have done all that was needed to be done. Let God and posterity be on your side. May God be your strength.

  3. Ayinde Soaga says:

There must have been a misunderstanding in communication or a mîsperception. The South-Westshire Health Trust should not be too concerned about the disclaimer of the Wife of the Governor of Lagos State. I believe and trust this rebuttal of the Trust. l only pray that God will continue to enable the Trust to continue with it’s most laudable goals. God bless your efforts, amen.

How can this country grow and how can others be encouraged to develop humanity? Many people have been destroyed by this type of backstabber. God will see you through. Just keep on doing your good works.
